Comfortable Dentistry

Yerany Plasencia, DDS

Dr. Yerany Plasencia—affectionately known by her patients as “Dr. P”—earned her dental degree from the University of Medical Sciences of Havana in 2014. She went on to complete a two-year Advanced Dental Residency Program at the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine. While in private practice, Dr. P has remained committed to lifelong learning, continually advancing her expertise in dental implants, endodontics, cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign®, and facial injectables.

Dr. P is a Florida board-certified moderate sedation provider, having completed advanced training in IV conscious sedation at St. Joseph University Medical Center in Paterson, NJ. She also completed a one-year Dental Implant MaxiCourse at Nova Southeastern University, earning her an Associate Fellowship with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. In addition, she is an executive board member of the Riviera Dental Study Club and member of several professional dental organizations dedicated to clinical excellence and continuing education.

Recognized for her compassionate approach and gentle touch, Dr. P has developed a special interest in treating patients with dental anxiety, special needs, and complex cases requiring sedation. Her training in anesthesia and her dedication to patient comfort have allowed her to create a welcoming experience for even the most apprehensive patients.

Beyond the operatory, Dr. P is deeply committed to community service. She partnered with Alonzo Mourning and the Mourning Family Foundation to provide dental care to underserved youth at the Overtown Youth Center. She also contributes her time to fundraising and community initiatives as a proud member of the Junior League of Miami, supporting causes that uplift women and families throughout South Florida.

When she’s away from the office, Dr. P enjoys staying active through racket sports such as tennis, padel, and pickleball, and is a beginner golfer working on her swing. She loves traveling, nurturing her education, and creating meaningful memories with family and friends.
