Raymond Kimsey, DMD
Dr. Raymond Kimsey, a native of Florida, earned his dental degree from the University of Florida. Following dental school, he underwent a hospital-based residency program with a focus on addressing the needs of patients with advanced dental requirements.
Throughout his residency, Dr. Kimsey received extensive training in anesthesia, oral surgery, and pediatrics. Post-residency, he actively contributed to the education of hospital residents, particularly in the management of apprehensive patients.
In addition to managing his dental practice, Dr. Kimsey serves as the Board Chairman at Miami Arts Charter School. With over 30 years of experience, his Coral Gables, FL, dental office has become a prominent referral source for dentists encountering challenges in treating sensitive, anxious, special needs, and medically compromised patients.
Dr. Kimsey provides a range of sedation options, including IV sedation, nitrous oxide (laughing gas), and orally administered sedatives, drawing from his extensive experience at Nichols Children’s and Jackson Memorial hospitals. Notably, Dr. Kimsey adopts a patient-centric approach, allowing individuals to guide the selection of anesthesia methods based on their preferences and needs.
His commitment to humanitarian efforts is evident through numerous trips to the Dominican Republic, where he provides dental care to the impoverished while actively participating in the education of University of Florida medical students.
